1995 (July) – 1995 Director Agricultural Research services:
Responsibilities included the managing the Agricultural Research services as well the agricultural colleges.
1992 -1995 (June) Department of Education, Principal of Tompi Seleka Agricultural College.
Responsibilities: Overall management of the college educational and demonstration farming services on 1470 hectare farm.
1984 (April ) -1992 ( Feb) Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture the University of Limpopo ( formerly North).
Responsibilities: Teaching Soil Science both to undergraduate and post graduate students .

Responsibilities included providing soil science advisory services to both extension officers and farmers.
Some Key Projects managed during 1996 -to date.
· Stabilization of the Fisheries branch of DAFF in March 2014 –May 2015 following the public outcry on Fishing Rights Allocation Process of 2013 and the Public Protectors report of Docked Fisheries Vessels.
· Development of the Food and Nutrition Security Policy for South Africa 2013.
· The development of the Agricultural Policy Action plan. This plan provides a value chain approach to agriculture to ensure food security, growth and employment.
· Broadening Access to Services and Extension Delivery (BASED). 1996 -2005 . A Donor funded program by the GTZ to develop through action learning the participatory extension approaches (PEA). My role was the Departmental Manager of the Program from formulation to implementation. Some key outcomes included
o The Service Delivery Framework developed and published on Participatory extension approaches .
o Registration of the first and to date the only approved Seed certification centre in South Africa by smallholder farmers.
o Inclusion and participation of smallholder farmers in the value chain processes.
o Useful lessons and experiences for LED and cooperatives development.
· Limpopo Agricultural Development Program (LADEP) 1997 -2009. This was a Technical assistance from Finnish partnership to pilot the economic viability of small holder community based land based agri micro-enterprise on communal land. My role was that of Departmental representative, Chair of Supervisory board and program manager and was involved from formulation to implementation. Key outcomes include.
o Capacity building of agricultural value chain officers and farmers in the districts on value chain marketing.
o Provision of production and marketing infrastructure in the micro enterprises.
o Studies and strategies on land based agri micro enterprises.
· Comprehensive Agricultural Support Program (CASP): 2003 -2005 A conditional grant to broaden access to agricultural trade for emerging land reform agri SMME’s. My role was provincial representative during the formulation and program manager in the initial years of implementation.
Key outcome of this program is the access support farmer have agricultural services especially infrastructure, inputs and markets.
· Revitalization of the Smallholder Irrigation Schemes (RESIS) 2007 to date. Oversee the implementation of the RESIS infrastructure delivery. Over this period we have improved practices in procuring & contract managing both the infrastructure consultancy and contractor services. Valuable lessons have been learnt and gaps identified in developing communal schemes on tribal land.13 irrigation schemes have been completed.
· Mapping of Agricultural Commodities in the Limpopo province -2011. The project involves the data collection and mapping agricultural activities taking place in the province. Agricultural infrastructure is geo referenced. This project will provide baseline information required for planning and decision making.
COMMUNITY ORIENTED
2003 -2011: Director, Novafrica Centre for Innovation in Development (Association incorporated under section 21).
2009 to date Member and member of The African Institute for Community-Driven Development (Khanya-aicdd) (not-for-profit Institute registered in South Africa and Lesotho).
2006 – 2008: Director and member of The African Institute for Community-Driven Development (Khanya-aicdd) (not-for-profit Institute registered in South Africa and Lesotho).
2012: Lay Member of District Advisory Board of the Church of the Nazarene.
1992 - 2007: Served as Lay Member of various Local, District and International committees of the Church of the Nazarene.
INTERESTS AND ACTIVTIES
· Volunteer Services.
o Marital and Bereaved Counsellor. Conduct premarital classes for marriage candidates. Provide counselling support to the bereaved for as long as need. The results both Premarital and bereavement have been very positive.
o Volunteer support to HIV AIDS victim and Cancer patients.
o Adhoc volunteer on Community development activities especially to the less privileged and the poor.
· Sports: In my limited spare time I like to watch sport especially soccer.
· Reading: I have keen interest in reading -motivational, health, business development and spiritual literature in support of my counselling interest.
